1. Boarding Services

Canine Cottage provides home-based, limited-capacity dog boarding in a residential setting. Owner understands and agrees that this is a home environment with a small number of dogs and that services are provided on a best-efforts basis.

2. Medical Emergencies

Owner authorizes Canine Cottage and Brandi Young to seek veterinary care for the dog in the event of illness or emergency. Owner is financially responsible for all veterinary costs and agrees to reimburse Canine Cottage for any expenses incurred on the dog's behalf.

3. Escape, Loss, or Injury

Owner acknowledges that despite reasonable precautions, dogs may escape, become lost, or sustain injury. Canine Cottage and Brandi Young are not liable for escape, loss, injury, or death of the dog while in its care.

4. Behavior

Owner represents that the dog has no history of unprovoked aggression toward people or other dogs. Canine Cottage reserves the right to remove or decline any dog displaying aggressive or unsafe behavior, at Owner's expense.

5. Personal Property

Any items left with the dog (beds, toys, leashes, bowls) are left at the Owner's risk. Canine Cottage is not responsible for lost, damaged, or soiled personal belongings.

6. Vaccinations

Owner certifies that the dog is current on Rabies, Bordetella, and DHPP vaccinations and will provide valid vaccination records (PDF) prior to boarding. Canine Cottage may refuse boarding if records are not provided.

7. Payments

A non-refundable deposit is due at checkout to reserve the stay, with the remaining balance due at pickup. Cancellation notice of 48–72 hours is required for any refund eligibility.

8. Liability Release

Owner releases, indemnifies, and holds harmless Canine Cottage, Brandi Young, and household members from any claims, damages, or liability arising from the dog's stay, except in cases of gross negligence.

9. Photo / Video Release

Owner grants Canine Cottage permission to use photos or video of the dog for marketing, social media, or promotional purposes unless the Owner opts out in writing.

10. Owner Representations

Owner represents that the dog is healthy, free of parasites, and not contagious at the time of boarding, and that all information provided on the onboarding form is accurate.

11. Agreement Duration

This agreement applies to the current stay and any future stays unless updated in writing. It is binding upon the Owner and Canine Cottage for the duration of the dog's stay.
